Eugene Shermoen is a firm shareholder who has many years of experience in a broad variety of litigation. Today, his practice focuses principally on the litigation and arbitration of cases involving securities, automobile law, and liquor liability. Gene has successfully tried to verdict numerous jury trials and has arbitrated hundreds of cases. He also has a vast amount of experience in other forms of ADR including mediation, summary jury trials, and early neutral evaluations. Gene is known for his ability to quickly evaluate a case and provide his clients with the necessary information and recommendations to efficiently and economically bring closure.

Gene is a co-author of the Third Edition of the Minnesota Motor Vehicle Insurance Manual, a highly-regarded authority by the insurance and legal industries.  Gene also plays a leading role as a speaker at the firm's annual casualty seminars.  The Minnesota Supreme Court appointed Gene as a member of the Standing Committee for Administration of No-Fault Arbitration.  He is a Minnesota State Bar Association Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist, and in 2009, Gene was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an organization dedicated to the preservation of the civil jury trial.

Specialty in handling lawsuits and arbitrations filed against officers and directors involving control personal liability.

Automobile:

Specialty in handling BI, UM, and UIM cases involving death and serious injury.   

Liquor Liability:

Specialty in handling complex liability and damage cases for national/local hotels and bars/restaurants. 

Commercial Litigation:

Specialty in handling disputes between businesses and landlord/tenants.
