Attorney Profiles

Tim Carrigan joined Arthur, Chapman, Kettering, Smetak & Pikala, P.A. in 2008.  He works primarily in the areas of Product Liability Defense, Catastrophic Property Losses, and Fire and Explosion Losses.  Tim has participated in investigations, evaluations, and litigation involving fires, explosions, chemical releases, power failures, livestock losses, structural failures, and flooding.  He also practices in the areas of property subrogation and general civil litigation.

Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2001.  Subsequent to his graduation, Tim was employed by 3M as a laboratory technician where he worked with several engineers and chemists in the development of commercial adhesive products.  Tim's technical education and first-hand engineering experience have proven to be an invaluable source of information in catastrophic loss responses.

Tim has been trained and certified in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120(q) of the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response standard (HAZWOPER).  He has also served as a guest instructor for the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) on the topics of expert testimony and the rules of evidence.
