Attorney Profiles

Curt Ruwe joined Arthur, Chapman, Kettering, Smetak & Pikala, P.A. in 2007 as a senior associate and practices in the area of insurance coverage.  His practice includes evaluation of coverage under first-party and third-party liability policies of every kind.  Over the years, Curt has acquired extensive experience in drafting coverage opinions, advising insurance companies as to general matters of policy interpretation, and assisting insurance companies with strategic decision-making in complex multi-party/multi-insured litigation scenarios.  Curt also has experience prosecuting and defending declaratory judgment actions on behalf of insurers.  To this extent, he has litigated coverage issues in front of Appellate Courts in three states. 

Curt is currently the Co-chair of the Insurance Coverage practice group at Arthur Chapman and has been named a Rising Star in 2007 and 2008 by Minnesota Law and Politics magazine.  

Prior to joining Arthur Chapman, Curt practiced for four years at Reding & Pilney in St. Paul, Minnesota where he focused heavily on insurance coverage and construction law.  Prior to that, Curt practiced for two years with an insurance defense firm in Norfolk, Nebraska .
