New laws, government regulations, and court decisions impact heavily on how a company conducts business and how it interacts with its employees.  Our Employment Law Practice Group represents employers of all sizes, including manufacturers, professional corporations, entrepreneurs, health care entities, the hospitality industry, retailers, and car dealerships.  We also represent the insurance industry, insured entities and self-insured businesses in State and Federal courts, before state agencies and commissions and in ADR arenas.

In an effort to prevent employment problems from becoming lawsuits, we are proactive with our clients, guiding them through the maze of regulations to develop proper employment policies and procedures encompassing the employee relationship from hiring to firing.  We assist clients by drafting employee handbooks, and sexual harassment and drug policies.  We also investigate employee complaints.

When litigation is necessary, our attorneys provide their expertise as litigators in race, sex, age, pregnancy and disability discrimination, sexual harassment, unemployment compensation, defamation, wrongful termination, breach of contract and insurance coverage lawsuits.

We coordinate efforts with our workers' compensation practice group to provide comprehensive approaches to handling employment issues that may arise in workers' compensation claims, adding value to the service we provide to our clients.
