Harrison primarily focuses on appellate practice, business advising and litigation, construction, auto, and premises liability. He has worked on cases in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Federal Circuit courts.
In addition to litigation, Harrison has developed a niche practice in intellectual property, particularly in the world of trademarks. He has registered dozens of trademarks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and counsels a diverse range of clients on building and protecting their brands.
Harrison frequently works with startups and understands the importance of optimizing business formation early on, the value of creating and maintaining goodwill and a strong brand, and that for many clients avoiding litigation can be just as important as winning in court, if not more so. When it comes to litigation, Harrison is a dedicated advocate who enjoys taking a deep dive into the law and the facts of the case in order to give his clients an edge and get them the results they need and deserve.
Harrison has worked in a wide variety of jobs which gave him a wealth of knowledge and experience in many different walks of life. He worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robert Awsumb in Ramsey County District Court and during law school he was a legal intern at the Minnesota Governor’s Office and a Global Compliance intern at Ecolab. Harrison has also worked as a lobsterman, bartender, screen printer, Persian rug salesman, and taught English as a foreign language in Russia from 2016-2017.
Harrison enjoys playing music and can speak Russian fluently (or at least he used to). He also enjoys playing soccer, basketball, tennis, reading classic fiction, and taking naps.
