Alexis M. Zimmer

Alexis M. Zimmer is an associate in the Construction Practice Group. She received her bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and spent four years working in Washington, D.C. for both the U.S. Senate and the Department of Justice. Following that, Alexis returned home to Minnesota to attend Mitchell Hamline School of Law. During law school, Alexis served as a managing editor for the Mitchell Hamline Law Review, where she developed a precision and attention to detail in her legal writing.

After earning her J.D., Alexis clerked for the Honorable Judge Nelson Peralta in Hennepin County, where she developed valuable experience supporting the court and observing a wide range of legal matters. Alexis’s work during her law school clerkships focused on real property and land use issues, and she is excited to bring that lens to her construction practice.

Outside of her legal practice, Alexis enjoys spending time with her fiancée and their mini-Dachshund mix. In her free time, she can often be found running, rock climbing, or searching for her next favorite coffee shop.
